A guided tour with our customer relationship manager, Ann-Marie Baker is all it usually takes to be able to get a flavour of what life is like at Cumnor Hill House. Enjoy lunch in our garden and take in the open spaces all over the home.
Entertainment and Activities
Staying active through continuing hobbies and pastimes creates a sense of accomplishment, brings residents closer together and explores the creative streak in everyone. All of this contributes to the wellbeing of each of our residents.
Arts & Crafts
We are consistently amazed by the skills that our residents develop or rekindle and we encourage them to continue existing hobbies, to develop existing skills and try new activities.
Board games transcend the ages – whether it’s Scrabble, Snakes & Ladders or Trivial Pursuit, but at Cumnor Hill House, we embrace the digital space too. Our residents regularly enjoy a spot of virtual reality or even an online Zoom quiz.
We enjoy bowls on our lawn, cricket at our local club and chess and backgammon indoors, but with such a fabulous garden when the weather allows, we even put on our own sporting events for everyone to enjoy in the nice weather.
Fresh, delicious food and drink for everyone
Staying fit and healthy starts with eating and drinking well. It goes without saying that our chefs are some of the best in the business.
Dietary requirements are all taken care of, and our chefs relish the chance to create something a little out of the ordinary. However you like to eat, whether it’s in the dining room, the garden or your room, you can expect fresh, locally-sourced produce and delicious creations.
Our bar is fully stocked with everything you would expect to find in an upmarket hotel and – of course – it’s all included.

Health and Fitness
Being as active as we can be is so important in living a comfortable life and the effect of a small amount of exercise and training – on anyone – is nothing short of amazing.
Research shows that greater fitness and energy as a person ages helps in avoiding falls and can help in preventing dementia.
Our care home gym features low-impact equipment and includes a rowing machine, two upward weight machines and a walking machine. We can also offer private exercise for those that would prefer it.
