What to expect at Portobello Place
As a member of staff at Portobello Place, you’ll be part of a compassionate team dedicated to delivering personalised care and unwavering companionship to our residents. Our approach is centred around each individual’s unique needs, ensuring that help is always within reach and seamlessly integrated into their daily lives.
Before residents move in, you’ll be involved in conducting thorough assessments to understand their specific requirements and determine the most suitable accommodations. This initial step is crucial in creating a tailored care plan that prioritises their comfort and well-being from the very beginning.
For our residents with dementia, you’ll extend the same high level of care as we do for all, while also addressing their unique needs. Recognising that even the smallest things can be overwhelming during this stage of life, your role will be to provide support, comfort, and friendly guidance to both residents and their families. Your empathy and understanding will make a significant difference in their daily lives.
Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to our respite services, which allow non-residents to experience the benefits of Portobello Place temporarily. Whether they are exploring the option of living in a care home before making a permanent decision or need extra assistance following surgery or an accident, you will ensure they receive the same exceptional care and warm welcome.
