Staff and residents at Burcot Grange and Lodge enjoyed a day of Indian culture to coincide with the festival which included wearing saris, eating traditional Indian food and participating in a Bollywood dance class.
The dance class was led by Reena Tailor, Artistic Director of Bollywood Dreams Dance Company and her team.
The celebrations were complemented by handmade traditional Indian food created by the home’s own in-house team of specialist chefs.
Vicky Osborne, general manager of Burcot Grange and The Lodge said: “It’s been a tremendous event both for residents and staff to enjoy, while also learning more about Indian culture.
Celebrations like this really help to bring a sense of energy into the home, which is clear to see not just on residents’ faces but also on those of the caring staff.”
