At our Leycester House care home, the festive spirit arrived early, bringing with it warmth, joy, and a commitment to giving back to the community. We recently hosted a Christmas fayre to kickstart the season, and the generosity of our residents, staff and visitors helped us raise an incredible £314.15 for Myton Hospice. It was a heartwarming event filled with holiday cheer, featuring engaging activities like tombola and the ever-popular “name the elf” stall.

But the season of giving doesn’t stop there! Our next exciting event is the Christmas Jumper Day on Wednesday, the 6th of December, perfectly coinciding with our delightful coffee morning scheduled from 10:30 AM until Noon. During this festive occasion, residents, staff, and visitors are encouraged to don their most festive and quirky Christmas jumpers, turning our care home into a merry sea of holiday colours.

To make the season even more meaningful, we’ve decided to extend our giving to the global community. From the 4th to the 8th of December, we’ll be accepting donations, and all the funds collected during this period will be dedicated to the Save the Children charity. It’s our way of spreading the joy of the season beyond the walls of our care home and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

As we embrace the holiday spirit, we invite everyone to join us in creating lasting memories and making a difference in the lives of others. Together, let’s make this festive season a time of joy, compassion, and giving.

Happy Holidays!
