Roses wait in your room on arrival, the Westbury Bar is the heart of the home, and when complex nursing is needed, the high dependency floor provides care that families describe as “beyond excellent”. One fee covers everything, so you can focus entirely on settling in and making the most of your time here. Badminton Place offers residential, dementia, respite and palliative care.

Services at Badminton Place

Residential & Respite care

Residential care is for people who need help with day-to-day tasks like getting dressed, moving around and cooking. It’s also for those who could benefit from being part of a community. Live independently knowing our care team is here if you need us. Respite care provides the same benefits on a short-term basis. Whether it’s weeks or months, relax knowing you’re in safe hands.

Dementia care

Dementia affects everyone differently, so our approach is person-centred. We see beyond the diagnosis to recognise each person’s identity and life history. Our staff undergo specialised training to understand unique needs. From art therapy to gardening, we offer meaningful activities that improve wellbeing in safe, stimulating environments designed for comfort.

Nursing care

Our registered nurses provide 24-hour medical attention for residents with complex health conditions. We support people who’ve had strokes, recent operations or conditions affecting mobility. From administering medications to wound care, PEG and stoma care – our team combines medical expertise with compassion in everything they do.

Community living that feels truly welcoming

Community life is central at Badminton Place. State-of-the-art facilities certainly matter, but it is the social connections that make a real difference. Conversations over morning coffee, shared interests, new friendships formed over activities, all of it creates a natural antidote to the isolation that many people fear. Everyone is encouraged to be themselves while being part of something much bigger. Living somewhere genuinely warm and welcoming, with incredible luxury touches throughout, means that any worries about loneliness fade away completely.

As well as being part of a community, people thrive at Berkley because we recognise and celebrate them as the remarkable individuals they are. If it matters to them, it matters to us. This is how we reimagine care every day.

Your care

Care that works around what matters to you, not the other way around. We talk with residents and families to understand exactly what support each person needs, then fit that around their interests, routines and preferences. Some people need minimal help, others require more intensive support – either way, it’s designed around how you want to live your life here.

Our people

Badminton Place works because of the people – residents, families and our team. Everyone here has fascinating stories to tell. Residents arrive with decades of experiences, skills and knowledge that make conversations genuinely interesting. When people feel comfortable sharing their stories and being themselves, that’s what creates the warm atmosphere you’ll notice the moment you walk through the door. Our staff understand that their job is helping everyone feel valued and giving them opportunities to keep growing and learning.

“It's extremely reassuring to see the relationships that the staff have with grandpa.”

There's rarely one clear moment. Families usually notice a pattern: increasing falls, missed medication, weight loss, isolation or carer burnout. If day-to-day life is becoming unsafe or joyless, it's often time to look at options. The Badminton Place team are happy to talk this through without pressure, help you weigh up residential, respite or dementia care, and arrange a gentle visit so your loved one can experience the home for themselves.

Look beyond the brochure. Visit in person, preferably more than once and at different times of day. Notice how the team speak to residents, what the food looks and smells like, and whether the home feels genuinely warm. Ask about activities, staff retention and how care plans evolve. Absolutely, and we strongly encourage it. Book a tour at a time that suits you and we'll show you around the home, introduce you to the team and answer every question over a coffee or a proper meal. You're welcome to bring family, ask to see a specific suite, or meet residents who can tell you honestly what life here is like. Evening and weekend visits are easily arranged.

You won't be asked to move. Badminton Place offers residential, dementia, nursing and palliative care under one roof, with a dedicated high dependency floor when more complex support is needed. Care plans are reviewed regularly with residents, families and our clinical team, so support can grow quietly alongside changing needs. The aim is simple: stability, familiar faces and continuity of care, however life unfolds.
